The University of Hohenheim will make every effort to offer the service retrieval without interruption as far as possible. Even with all due care, however, downtime cannot be prevented entirely. Note on the problem of external links
As a content provider, the University of Hohenheim is responsible for its "own content," which it makes available for use, in accordance with general legislation pursuant to Sec. 7(1) of the German Telemedia Act. This “own content” is to be distinguished from cross-references ("links") to content provided by other providers. By means of the links, the University of Hohenheim provides "third-party content" for use, which is identified in this manner:
Links are always "living" (dynamic) references. The University of Hohenheim has checked the external content when the link is first set to determine whether it may give rise to any civil or criminal liability. However, it does not continually check the content to which it refers in its offer for changes that could give rise to a new responsibility. If it determines or is informed by others that a specific offer to which it has provided a link triggers civil or criminal liability, it will remove the reference to this offer.
Gender-neutral language
Whenever we speak of people on these pages, we of course mean men and women equally. Therefore, we use gender-neutral terms whenever possible. If this is not possible in individual cases, we use the basic form of the word (generic feminine/masculine).
