Research Projects

PHID-Coleo develops new diagnostic methods for the morphological and molecular identification of invasive or putative harmful beetles occurring in trade-associated wood packing materials. This project is a collaboration with the federal plant protection service LTZ Augustenberg of Baden-Württemberg. The subproject focuses on the investigation of the European invasion history and kinship between infestation sites of the Asian Longhorned Beetle (Anoplophoraglabripennis) via population genomic methods.
